                Since 1997...

Latino Literacy Now has been dedicated to advancing the cause of reading and promoting literacy in the Latino community since our first event (the Los Angeles Latino Book, Culture and Travel Festival) held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in 1997. Since then hundreds of small and large companies have exhibited and sponsored, many with excellent literacy initiatives that have given something tangible back to the community. By the end of 2010, Latino Literacy Now had produced 62 Festivals, Book Awards and Folklorico Dance competitions around the United States drawing more than 850,000 participants and attendees.
